Dear Pennsylvania Democratic voters:
Your state holds the next key vote in the presidential race. Obama is closing the gap against Clinton in the latest state polls, narrowing what had been a significant Clinton lead. Clinton's Bosnia embarrassment has hurt her one claim to electability - foreign policy experience - which has been revealed as based on a repeated pattern of exaggeration.
Now is a great opportunity for Obama to emphasize the difference he offers - a new, grassroots, progressive style of politics. And imagine... just imagine... if Obama won in your state! This dragged-out, divisive, brutal campaign would be OVER. The numbers on his side would be insurmountable and indisputable.
It won' t be easy, but it could happen - if YOU make it happen!
It all comes down to getting out the vote.
Already, Pennsylvania has had record-setting Democratic registration:
HARRISBURG, Pa.—Democratic Party enrollment surged past the 4 million mark Monday, setting a state record on the last day Pennsylvanians had to register to vote in next month's presidential primary.
The figures, which showed modest declines in the ranks of Republicans and independents, reflected intense interest in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination and recruitment efforts by both candidates, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois.
Since last year's election, which featured races for judicial and municipal offices, the number of Democrats increased by more than 161,000, or more than 4 percent, to at least 4,044,952. No political party in the state had previously reached the 4 million threshold.
Now we need to be sure that we turn every one of those registrations into a VOTE.
You'll be getting a chance to get to know Senator Obama better. Starting on Friday, he is embarking on a six-day Pennsylvania roadtrip:
Sen. Barack Obama will return to Pennsylvania on Friday to start a six-day bus tour across the Keystone State, his campaign said today.
The "Road to Change" bus tour will kick off in Western Pennsylvania and conclude in southeastern Pennsylvania, with "numerous stops in between," according to a news release from Obama's campaign
Please encourage all your friends, neighbors, acquaintances and relatives who are undecided or may not vote to get to know Obama and what he stands for. Don't let them be swayed by media mud-slinging. Tell them why you personally are voting for him. That is always the best way to make a change - through personal action.
Go to his campaign stops, and bring your friends along. Show your support, and encourage everyone to make their vote count for change and a break with the politics of the past.
